Tunisia miss two strikers in Egypt trip for CAN qualifiers Tunisia heads to Egypt for second qualifier to 2015 Africa Cup of Nations without forward duo
Tunisia will have to do without strikers Sami Allagui and Issam Jemaa when they face Egypt in their second Group G game of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Wednesday, according to Tunisian reports. The squad of the Carthage Eagles, who are flying to Egypt Sunday, comprises only 23 players now after the elimination of Mainz striker Allagui and Qatar-based frontman Issam Jemaa, due to injury. However, according to Tunisian newspaper Alchourouk, the 28-year-old Allagui has reportedly reached an agreement with the Tunisia Football Federation (TFF) to skip the game because of commitments to his new team in Germany's Bundesliga. Tunisia opened their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 win over Botswana at home Saturday, one day after the Pharaohs were defeated away by Senegal.
