Egypt detected 956 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total cases nationwide to 263,606 since the outbreak last year. This is the second day in a row for the country's health ministry to register coronavirus infections below 1,000 since 27 April. The health ministry also detected 40 deaths, bringing total fatalities to 15,163. 711 patients have been discharged from hospitals following recovery in the past 24 hours, bringing total recoveries to 192,823. Starting Tuesday, Egypt reinstated standard operating hours for commercial venues to begin from 7am until 11pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends after a three-week decision to close these facilities at 9pm. Coffee shops and restaurants are operating currently from 5am to 1am throughout the week.
