Nigeria captain Yobo confident Eagles will beat Pharaohs Two African giants, Nigeria and Egypt, are slated to meet Thursday for friendly match in Dubai
Nigeria striker Joseph Yobo has expressed confidence that his national team would beat their Egyptian counterpart when the two meet Thursday evening for a friendly match in Dubai. “I have confidence in the Nigerian home Eagles. We don't even need to call them home Eagles – they're the real Super Eagles, and I believe they will do us proud in Dubai,” the most-capped Nigerian player told the Nation newspaper. The two powerful Africa teams are preparing for qualifiers for the 2013 African Cup of Nations (CAN) and the 2014 World Cup. Their last clash was in the 2010 CAN in Angola, where the Pharaohs crushed the Eagles 3-1 in the group stage. Both teams missed CAN's 2012 edition.
