Abdel-Moneim Abul-Fotouh will officially launch his "Strong Egypt" presidential programme at Cairo's Al-Azhar Park Monday afternoon.
The moderate Islamist's campaign was given a soft launch online Thursday after he presented his presidential application and 45,000 recommendations to the Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission.
Abul-Fotouh was expelled from the Muslim Brotherhood last year after hedefied thegroup's official policy by announcing his intention to run for president.
