Zidan also talked about his knee injury, confirming that he is in form and regularly training under the supervision of his physiotherapist, Florian Wang.
“I am totally in form and ready for the next friendlies,” Zidan said, adding, “My injury taught me to respect my body and right now I stopped thinking about it."
The two-time African Cup of Nations champion also spoke about the possibility of joining the starting XI with Broussia Dortmund in the second round of the Bundesliga while his Japanese teammate Shinji Kagawa is on national duty for the 2011 Asian Cup of Nations.
“It's the coach's decision, who I totally trust. Success doesn't belong to starters or substitutes, but the whole team,” He was quoted as saying.
Finally, the BVB shadow striker spoke about his club's current situation in the league, having finished the first round in the driving seat with 10 points ahead of their followers, FSV Mainzand, and 14 points ahead of fifth place Bayern Munich.
