Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met with chairman of the Pakistani Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Committee Zubair Mahmoud Hayat on Thursday in Cairo, where they discussed military cooperation, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement on Thursday. President El-Sisi and General Hayat discussed bilateral relations and boosting military cooperation between the two countries. El-Sisi and Hayat also discussed the latest regional developments, especially regarding the war against terrorism, which is a major challenge for both Egypt and Pakistan. The meeting was attended by Egypt's Minister of Defense Sedky Sobhy and Pakistan's ambassador to Cairo. Earlier on Thursday, Hayat met with Sobhy, Egyptian Army Chief-of-Staff Mohamed Farid, and military production minister Mohamed Assar.
