Egypt's major stocks are heading for their third consecutive day of gains, the benchmark EGX30 trading 1.3 per cent up at 4,073 points just over an hour before the end of Thursday's session. The index made strong gains on Tuesday and Wednesday after Egypt's parliamentary elections went ahead relatively smoothly, helping the Bourse regain a previous full week of losses after battles between security forces and protesters in central Cairo. Market turnover is currently LE189.45 million.
