Dortmund's Zidan eyes German Super Cup triumph
Mohamed Zidan is eager to help German champions Borussia Dortmund win Saturday's Super Cup at the expense of Schalke

Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan said he and his teammates were determined to give German champions Borussia Dortmund another title as they gear up for the new season.
The high-flying team meet German Cup winners Schalke in Saturday's Super Cup, the annual curtain-raiser to the new season.
“We will do everything to add another title to our letterhead,” Zidan, who made few appearances last season due to some niggling injuries, said on Dortmund's official website.
The 29-year-old looks settled in Dortmund after weeks of speculation over a possible move away from the club, whom he joined in the summer of 2008 following spells with fellow German sides Mainz and Hamburg.
Cairo giants Ahly made no secret of their desire to sign the Egyptian international, who was part of the Pharaohs' African Cup of Nations winning squads in 2008 and 2010, as they sought to take advantage of his lack of regular first-team football at Dortmund.
But Zidan, motivated by the possibility of playing European Champions League football for the first time in his career, eventually opted to stay put.
He boosted his bid to win a place in Dortmund's starting line up by scoring the second goal in the team's 2-0 victory over Hamburg in the final of the friendly Liga Total Cup on Wednesday.
“I will take the trophy to bed with me and snuggle with it,” Zidan, who wore the captain's armband for the first time, joked following the match.
“We had great chances to take an earlier lead and didn´t allow a lot. This shows that we are on the right track
“We know that the expectations are high and that the whole of Germany is looking at Borussia Dortmund. We are taking things easy, we enjoyed and celebrated the championship title, but we also know that we will need to give our all in the new season.”
