Dortmund's Zidan sidelined for around 10 days Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan is expected to be out for up to ten days as he recovers from a thigh injury
Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan will be sidelined for up to ten days after suffering a thigh injury, the Bundesliga club said on Friday. The German champions, who endured a shaky start to the new season, said on their official website that Zidan is suffering from a tendon inflammation in his left thigh. The Egyptian international has mainly been used as a substitute this season, having failed to reclaim his place in the starting line up after recovering from a serious knee injury earlier this year. Zidan has made two Bundesliga appearances off the bench so far this season. He also featured in Dortmund's 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the European Champions League group stage. Dortmund, who are seeking to defend their league title, lie eighth in the table after seven matches, eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
