Armed men killed a policeman in upper Egypt's governorate of Fayoum on Wednesday, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported. The victim, Mostafa Ayoub, worked in the tourism police department. The assailants, who rode a motorcycle, shot Ayoub as he was returning home. He died of injuries he sustained after he was transported to a hospital. Hundreds of police and army personnel have been killed in targeted bombings, drive-by shootings and other attacks orchestrated by militant groups since July 2013, when anti-state violence increased following the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi. http://english.ahram.org.eg/News/137696.aspx
