Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the allocation of 630 million Shekels (approx. U.S. $170 million) for constructing a huge detention center on the borders with Egypt. The center will be established to detain African intruders who enter Israel illegally via Egypt. Netanyahu considers the intruders, who enter Israel looking for jobs, a threat to all fields of work in Israel and a real danger. Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth and General Israeli Radio reported Netanyahu saying, “Israel is not responsible for these intruders and must separate between working immigrants and refugees.” Netanyahu also said this phenomenon has to stop and called on the imperative cooperation of all the Israeli ministries. The wall separating Egypt and Israel will be completed within the next year, added Netanyahu. He also criticized former Israeli governments for not finishing the construction of the separating wall. Yedioth also reported the Israeli cabinet plans to intensify procedures against intruders by building the wall within the coming year and increasing bail against intruders.
