Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there is a possibility Egypt and the Middle East will succumb to the wave of what he called "Islamic extremism." He said this is an anti-Israel and anti-Westerns, adding these forces would be too hostile to democratic values and would make an enemy of Israel. According to Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth Netanyahu made this statement during a session held at Knesset by the Kadima opposition coalition entitled ‘Government failures in political, economic and social development' today November 24. He added Israel's security needs to increase. Netanyahu said the Israeli government will continue to promote peace with Egypt and Jordan, that it is of strategic interest to all parties. Regarding the peace process with Palestinians, Netanyahu said Israel must proceed with caution with Palestinians in order to remain at peace for a long lasting period. The PM emphasized negotiations are the only way to achieve peace.
