Cairo International Airport received 82 soldiers of Peacekeeping forces, headed by Bdileru Gdllego, a Columbian multinational force for peacekeeping in Sinai. The forces arrived on board of Spanish airlines arriving from Madrid and the soldiers headed to Sinai to start their work. The Mmltinational forces started their work in 1981, after signing the Camp David peace treaty between Egypt and Israel in 1979. The forces aim to supervise the implementation of laws concerning security included in the treaty to prevent any violations to the commitments of the treaty. The number of forces reach about 1,800 soldiers and the forces command to take Rome as their headquarters. They also keep representative bureaus in Cairo and Tel-Aviv, where they practice their work in sending monitoring patrols along the Egyptian-Israeli borders. There are eleven countries participating in the the Peacekeeping forces including Fiji, New Zealand, Colombia, Uruguay, Canada, Australia, Norway, Italy, Hungary, France and the U.S.
