CAIRO: Egyptian investors boosted the small- and medium-sized company shares in the mid-session of today's transactions in the Egyptian stock exchange. Bigger shares however, due to foreign and Arab sell-offs, continued to fall. The main EGX30 fell 0.24 percent, the EGX20 rose 0.17 percent, the EGX70 rose 0.87 percent and the EGX100 gained 0.33 percent. Blue-chip shares took small losses today, including Hermis, down 0.98 percent; International Commercial Bank, down 1.5 percent; Orascom for Construction, down 1.3 percent; and Sweidi, down 1.2 percent. Some shares however did make gains, including Palm Hills, up 1.5 percent; Ezz Steel, up 0.60 percent, Sodec, up 0.18 percent; Citadel, up 1.01 percent; and Amer Group, up 1.4 percent.
