An Egyptian lawyer, Imeel al-Masry, submitted a complaint to Public Prosecutor Abdel Magid Mahmoud against the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, accusing him of killing peaceful demonstrators in Tahrir Square and during the Maspiro Clashes, and supporting Islamic movements. The lawyer said that the ruling military council and its leaders planned to kill demonstrators who expressed their opinions freely. He also accused them of ignoring minorities, including Shiites and Copts, and supporting extremist Islamic movements to achieve personal gains.
