Security source denies rumors about foiling escape attempt of former regime figures

CAIRO: A security source at the Interior Ministry said news that one Egyptian newspaper published today, November 24, about the foiling of an attempt to escape from Tora Prison by some members of the former regime is untrue.
The source criticized repeating such rumors, which aim to increase the rage and chaos among the people as well as increase Egyptians' doubt in the police's performance.
The source called on the media to double-check objectivity and credibility in their content, especially during this important period in Egypt's history.
