CAIRO: The Supreme Electoral Committee will announce Thursday, November 17 the first electoral stage's final candidates list, after they reviewed and excluded those who have judicial verdicts against them and replaced them with other candidates. The electoral committee will announce the lists of the second and third stage successively within the next days as the elections draw closer, said Abdil Moez Ibrahim, Head of the Supreme Electoral Committee. Ibrahim said the delay was because of judicial verdicts against numerous candidates which required they be excluded and political parties choosing other candidates to replace the excluded ones. The member of the committee's secretariat Youssry Abdil Karim said the committee held a meeting with the military council on Tuesday to form a security plan for the upcoming People's Assembly and Shura Council elections. The meeting included Field Marshal Tantawi, members of the military council and the minister of interior with all his seniors. It was called to confirm all the electoral committees, the roads leading to the committees, the boxes' transfer and the committee supervisors.
