Head of Supreme Electoral Committee Abdel Moaiz Ibrahim said the committee finished the parties' electoral lists on Tuesday November 8 after witnessing candidates' withdrawal, death tolls and some appeals made against some of the candidates. Ibrahim said the candidate names for parliament will be announced next Friday after the candidates' lists are finally completed. Member of the general secretariat of the electoral committee Youssry Abdil Karim said the judicial committees in different governorates are responsible of receiving any complaints against the lists or individual seats' candidate. Complaints are made in case candidates violate the law, such as using religious slogans or have signs concerned with the electoral process. Karim also said the military decree prohibited the use of religious slogans during the elections and any candidate who uses religious slogans will be imprisoned for five months and fined with 5,000 EGP (U.S. $837.8). In the same context, a judicial source said the Supreme Electoral Committee warned of some political parties using the worship houses during the elections.
