Number of Parliamentary candidates announced

Chancellor Abdel Moez Ibrahim, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for elections announced on the figures for candidates running in the upcoming elections Tuesday.
For the People's Assembly, 6,591 candidates are running for individual seats, while 590 are running on party lists. For the Shura Council, 2,036 are running on party lists, while 272 are running as individual candidates.
The Committee will review the lists of candidates and examine their applications until Oct. 30 or 31, so objections to any candidate can be reviewed.
Judicial authorities in each governorate will form and announce the final lists of candidates for publication in each electoral district Nov. 1.
