CAIRO: The Elections Supreme Commission committee will oversee the entire electoral process.
They will start with preparation of new lists of voters according to the database of electoral headquarters of the voters according to each individual's national ID.
The president of the elections supreme commission, Councilor Abdel Moaz Ibrahim, points out the preparation of such lists of national IDs will go through new available databases in the Ministries of Interior and Administrative Development, Telecommunications and Information Technology.
Ibrahim made these statements after the first meeting of the Higher Committee for the elections in its new formation.
Ibrahim noted the forthcoming parliamentary elections of the People's Assembly and Shura Council in November will be different from the rest of the other elections. It will bring together an individual voting system and an enclosed relative list system. Voters will choose from the elected candidates of the People's Assembly and Shura Council at the same time, conducted under full judicial supervision.
He said he will choose the members of the Secretariat to a Committee of judiciary members and different judicial administration during the next few days. He pointed out they are still searching for a suitable and appropriate place for the Commission's work in coordination with the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces. The current location is in residential buildings in Heliopolis.
Ibrahim said the new electoral list will be completely free of names of the deceased and of accused people, who may be excluded from their right to vote.
