Chairman of Staff of Israeli army Beni Gantz claims Sinai is turning into a hotbed for building an infrastructure for terrorism and many of them anti-Israel organizations. Gantz added terror organizations are flagrantly violating the Egyptian sovereignty in the region, ensuring the Israeli army changed its course of work at the Egyptian-Israeli borders. He said Israel is prepared to deal with any armed forces instead of dealing with infiltrators only. Israeli newspaper Maariv mentioned Gantz's statement during the meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee at Knesset to discuss the situation in Sinai. “Dozens of contractors and about 400 construction workers are working on establishing a wall around the Egyptian border.” Gantz assured the completion of the building process will end by the end of 2012. Maariv points the 70-kilometer border wall is in the process of being built so far. It was mentioned Gantz gave his orders to continue the rest of it, estimated to be 240 kilometers in total. During the Knesset meeting on Tuesday November 15, Gantz talked about Palestinians attacking the Gaza Strip, saying the defense army will have to make an attack on Gaza strip due to the escalating of the situation.
