Israel promotes colonels

The Israeli army Chief of Staff, General Beni Gantz, made new appointments to a group of army colonels. The appointments included the Commander of the Golani Brigade, Colonel Eric Chin, to head of Israeli forces at the Egyptian borders.
Chin participated in the Israeli war on Gaza in 2008.
Israeli army radio said Gantz appointed Colonel Oded Gorlafy as the head of Navy intelligence. Gentz also promoted Colonel Uram Ex to Brigadier and naval attaché in Washington.
Gantz appointed Colonel Elia as head of naval forces in Haifa.
