CAIRO: Bahraini King Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa did not meet with former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak during the king's recent trip to Cairo, according to Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr. The king's visit was confined to meeting with the head of Egypt's ruling military council, Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, according to Amr. He did not visit Mubarak in the International Medical Center on the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road. Khalifa's visit lasted only a few hours. He met with Tantawi to discuss regional developments and mutual relations between both countries in all fields, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Amr Rushdi.
