Bahrain's Ambassador to Egypt Rashed Al-Khalifa has denied recent media reports claiming that Bahrain King Hamad Bin Eissa Al-Khalifa paid a visit to toppled Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak at the International Medical Centre where he is being held. Media reports also claimed that Eissa Al-Khalifa called on Field Marshal Tantawi, head of the ruling military council, to stop Mubrak's ongoing trial. Days later, Ambassador Al-Khalifa was quoted by Al-Arabiya as saying that Eissa Al-Khalifa hasn't met Mubarak since he was deposed 11 February.However, he confirmed thatthe Bahraini king had visited Egypt and discussed with Tantawi possible ways to reinforce bilateral relations.
