Egypt's Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Mahmoud Eissa said Egypt witnessed political developments recently and worked to achieve democracy, political transparency and good governance. The armed forces protect Egypt in its current phase and attempting to transfer power to an elected civil authority, Eissa said in his speech delivered at the Desert Energy conference on Wednesday November 2. He said the government is working to achieve real reform and provide more job opportunities. Eissa said the government believes renewed energy can help with Egypt's economic growth since it is related to other industries. He said Egypt needs to achieve social justice. Eissa renewed the government's commitment to the open economy policy by creating a suitable atmosphere that can support investments. He added the ministry will adopt a strategy depending on drafting mechanism for energy in Egypt.
