Egyptian newspapers today covered various topics including how Essam Ali Atta's body does not have any marks indicative of torture and that the Al-Gomhorreya Center for Studies presented its vision of the Egyptian economy after the January 25 Revolution.

“Al-Karama Party was not and will not be just a follower,” said head of the Party Mohamed Samy. He added that the party has its own programs and identity.
The Party's participation in the Democratic Alliance came as a result of internal disputes in the party. The Party could not run for parliamentary elections with its lists or away from the Alliance, he said.
“It is electoral coordination more than an alliance,” he added.
Nine patients died recently under surgery at the Oncology Center. Another 11 were permanently disabled due to surgeries as well. Doctors claim that these patients were suffering in the advanced stages of the disease.

“The waste of drinking water in distribution nets all over Egypt is increasing,” said experts at the National Center for Water Research. “This reached 30 percent of the total share for drinking water from the High Dam, which is estimated to produce 9 billion cubic meters annually.”
The general frame for water desalination increased Egypt's drinking water share in 2050 to 13.8 billion cubic meters annually.

The Cairo Criminal Court today resumes the trial of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, his sons Alaa and Gamal, Hussein Salem, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and his six security chiefs, most of whom are accused of killing protestors during the January 25 Revolution.

Amr Wandeel, the head of preventative and endemic affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Health today responded to the report published by Al-Masry Al-Youm on October 9 alleging that a prominent factory was producing carcinogenic luncheons.
“The ministry held 17 inspection campaigns to the first branch of the factory before publishing the report,” Qandeel said. “The campaigns took 53 samples of the meat, 50 of which met the standards while three did not.”
“The campaign also checked the second branch of the factory and took 56 samples, and only three samples did not meet the global standard.”
The newspaper report also published that the factory used viscera and chicken bones in manufacturing Egyptian meat.
Al-Masry Al-Youm reported that their samples were checked at labs at Cairo University. The results confirm that the samples contain carcinogenic fungi as a result of manufacturing defects.
Al-Shorouq
General Director of the Autopsy House Soad Abdul Ghaffar today said that she supervised the autopsy of Essam Ali Atta's body.
“The body does not show signs or marks that are consistent with torture,” she said. “We did find pills inside the stomach and doctors suspect they are narcotic drugs.”
Ghaffar also said that she asked Atta's father and uncle to attend the autopsy but they refused, claiming it would be too difficult to witness.
She also said that 200 photos were taken both before and during the autopsy.
Al-Gomhorreya
The Al-Gomhorreya Center for Political Studies and Security Research held a seminar about Egypt's economic vision after the January 25 Revolution. Experts agreed that a solution to the economic crisis must be a top priority for the government.
They also agreed that insecurity, theft, categorical demands and protests are the most dangerous threats to the Egyptian economy.
