Heads of the Egyptian Coptic Christian communities in Europe met with a delegation from the European parliament in the Brussels, Belgium with the presence of the Egyptian consul in Belgium. They met to discuss the Maspiro clashes and the expatriate Coptic Christians' demands from Egypt's ruling military council regarding the incidents. The Coptic delegation presented videos and photos of Maspiro victims to the European delegation, which included members the Dutch, English, French and Italian parliament. The Coptic Christian delegation had four demands; that EU condemns the Maspiro clashes; to release Coptic Christian prisoners arrested during the clashes; to launch a fact-finding committee from the EU human rights organizations; and to link economic aid to Egypt with Coptic Christian rights. Head of the Coptic Christian organizations in Europe Midhat Kilada said the European parliament delegation said they will hold a meeting to make a decision regarding the Maspiro clashes. He also said the Coptic Christian delegations showed the EU the law was not activated against those who committed crimes against the Coptic Christians in Alexandria, Atfeeh, Imbaba and the Maspiro clashes.
