Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Justice Abdel Khaliq today denied media reports regarding Minister of Justice Mohamed Abdel Aziz el-Gendy, in which it was reported that the Council of Ministers is counting the national IDs of former members of the disbanded National Democratic Party. After the release of the Law of Corrupting Political Life, the lists will be transferred to the electoral committees in each governorate to apply the law and ban those listed from voting, el-Gendy said. El-Gendy called on the media to maintain accuracy regarding publication so as not to influence public opinion with misinformation.
