Director General of the Freedom and Justice Party Mohamed al-Beltagi said all options open if Egypt's ruling military council refused to respond to the demands raised by the Democratic Coalition for Egypt. He said the coalition sent a message to Egypt's ruling council demanding a quick transfer of power to a civil authority elected by the people and to set a timetable schedule for the start of the People's Assembly. They want to form a committee to draft the new constitution and presidential elections, he said in a phone call with Al-Qahera Al-Youm evening talk show. Al-Beltagi stressed the need to draft a law to isolate members of the dissolved National Democratic Party from Egypt's political life, threatening of boycotting elections if such a law is not issued. He added they will reveal these demands to Egypt's ruling military council on Thursday, and call upon different political powers for a meeting on Sunday to consider the response of the military council to these demands.
