Pope Shenouda III, leader of Egypt's Coptic Christian Church, will send Bishop Moussa to attend the World Conference on Sufism, “Sufism as an Approach to Reform,” which will be held Saturday. Sheikh Abdul Hadi, head of all Sufi sheikhs in Egypt, said he invited the Pope, but the patriarch's health prevented him from attending. Abdul Hadi said he invited all political groups to attend the conference. The three-day conference will host 130 religious figures from 35 countries attending the conference, the first and largest in the history of Sufism. The conference will be held under the auspices of Ahmed al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the Ministry of Religious Endowments, and Sheikh Abdul Hadi.
