DOHA, Qatar: Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, chairman of the board of Al-Jazeera, issued a decision to appoint Ahmed Bin Jassim Bin Mohammed Al Thani as general director al-Jazeera network, succeeding Wadaa Khanfar, who resigned after eight years of working at al-Jazeera. Khanfar announced his resignation on Twitter and in an email to al-Jazeera employees. He expressed his gratitude to the network, but he did not mention the reason behind his resignation Wikileaks published a release that said Wadah coordinated with U.S Central Intelligence Agency in 2005, and documented monthly reports about al-Jazeera incorrectly covering U.S. topics. The U.S. ambassador in Doha said al-Jazeera's coverage interfered with the work of the American military.
