Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi, upon his return from Damascus, said he communicated to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad the league's desire to find a solution for the current Syrian crisis. Arabi said he told Assad about the League's need to immediately stop the violence and bloodshed, and achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people. Arabi pointed out the necessity of performing those procedures according to a time table, and to see actual results as soon as possible. He added that he listened to Assad's assessment about Syrian current events.
