Pope Shenouda III will arrive at Cairo Airport tomorrow after receiving medical treatment for two weeks in the U.S. Pope Shenouda is the leader of Egypt's Coptic Christian community. The Pope returns to a number of unresolved issues, including the Clerical Council's work since last July, and Coptic Christians demanding the right to remarry after a divorce. Those seeking to remarry will protest Thursday outside the Ministry of Justice. Ayman George, who organized the protest, said it is the second protest demanding the right of the divorced to remarry. Otherwise, the protestors will submit a collective demand to convert from Orthodox sect to another one, which would allow them to remarry.
