CAIRO: Saudi Arabia's ambassador says the country will not allow tension between Saudi and Egypt. “Saudi Arabia will not allow any tension interrupt relations between it and Egypt,” said Saudi Arabian ambassador in Egypt, Ahmed Ben Abdel Aziz Qattan, in an interview with the evening talk shot Al-Hayat al-Youm. Many Egyptian pilgrims were stuck for nearly four days at Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia and lost their luggage returning to Egypt. Qattan said King Abdel Allah Ben Abdel Aziz did not allow any insult toward the Egyptian pilgrims. Achieving stability in Egypt is one of Saudi Arabia's goals. He also said if the tourist agency doubled checked the flight time schedules of arrivals and departures, this crisis wouldn't have happened. The main reason for the crisis is when Egyptian language weighed more than what the plane could load. “This pilgrim crisis should not be connected to political reasons,” said Qattan. “Saudi Arabians never took any position against Egypt, neither prior or post the Egyptian January 25 Revolution.” He added Egyptians have become surprisingly suspicious of everyone after the January 25 Revolution, even against those who respect Egypt.
