The Ministry of Social Justice and Solidarity coordinated with the armed forces to foil an attempt to smuggle 5000 liters of diesel fuel in Dakahlia governorate northeast of Cairo Tuesday. Legal procedures were taken against the owner of the station involved in obtaining the black market diesel. Minister of Social Justice and Solidarity, Guda Abdel Khaleq, assigned the Chairman of Monitoring and Distribution, Fathy Abdel Aziz, to form an operation room inside the ministry during Eid al-Fitr. The command room will ensure all flour is not smuggled to the black market to be sold at high prices by coordinating with local directors to monitor the storage and distribution of cooking gas, ensuring consumers will purchase gas cylinders at fixed prices. Abdel Khaleq said there are procedures to provide citizens with basic commodities, such as sugar, flour and rice, through wholesale companies. The monitoring sector in the ministry will receive daily reports from investigators during Eid al-Fitr, and will also receive any complaints at landlines 27948629 and 27956475.
