The Israeli apology for what happened in Sinai and the report of the international troops about the violence erupted on the borders between Egypt and Israel dominated the Egyptian press on Sunday. They also highlighted that the weapons used in killing the demonstrators during the January 25 revolution are U.S made. Egypt's Minister of High Education, Motaz Khorshid, declared that the private universities will witness ten percent increase in the number of the students who will join the universities, if compared to the last year. Al-Akhbar Egypt's Prime Minister, Essam Sharaf, announced that the ministerial committee in a permanent session to follow the situation on the Egyptian-Israeli borders. He demanded the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Kamel Amr, to summon the Israeli ambassador to tell him the Egyptian protest against shooting the Egyptian soldiers. He demanded the foreign minister also to conduct an official investigation to take the necessary legal measures to ensure the rights of victims and injured. South Sinai's Governor, Khaled Foda, pledged to withdraw the lands from the investors who are not serious in establishing investing projects. He promised to support the serious businessmen through granting them three months to complete their businesses. Al-Masry al-Youm The newspaper highlighted the report of the international troops in Sinai which confirmed that the Israeli troops entered the Egyptian territories and shot fire to kill an Egyptian officer and four soldiers. The report added that the international troops have not recorded any states of infiltrations of Palestinians to the Israeli territories through Sinai. Ehud Barrack, the Israeli Defense Minister, expressed Israel's sorry for killing Egyptian policemen, adding that his country will open an investigation in this regard.
