Egypt's Housing Min. reviews joint water, wastewater projects

Egypt's Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny met senior officials from the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, including Major General Tarek El-Weshahi, the authority's director of water affairs, to discuss joint water and wastewater projects, the ministry said on Tuesday.
El-Sherbiny stated that the meeting aims to enhance cooperation and monitor progress in meeting the country's drinking water needs, including ongoing projects like the expansion of the Al Gabal Al Asfar wastewater treatment plant.
The meeting discussed the ministry's strategic plan for desalination projects, including proposals for private-sector collaboration, plant efficiency improvements, and project timelines, the statement added.
