Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf met with a coalition of various political forces for three hours today. The head of Egypt's National Association for Change, Abdul Jalil Mustafa, said the meeting reached an agreement regarding peaceful demonstrations, which Sharaf said the government was not opposed to in principle. Mustafa said, "The prime minister was afraid of the recurrence of a sit-in but we pledged to only hold a peaceful demonstration on August 12 and to leave Tahrir Square at midnight after cleaning it." Sharaf and the council of ministers will soon issue a statement outlining the general principles that will govern Egypt, said Mustafa. The statement will include confirmation that Egypt will be a civil state governed by constitutional principles agreed upon by all. He added that the Law of Treachery will be discussed, as well as an anti-discrimination law. Arabic here.
