CAIRO: Koji Kotado, the chairman of the Japanese Chamber of Travel Agencies, visited the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice Party on Thursday to discuss how to improve tourism in both countries. Abdel-Hafez al-Sawy, one of the party's economic experts, said that Egypt has not witnessed any violations against tourists since the start of the January 25 Revolution. Tourists, therefore, should not be scared to visit Egypt, he added. Koji asked Egyptian authorities to encourage Japanese tourists to resume their visits to Egypt and to supporting Egypt's industry, education system and health sector. He said Egyptians welcome tourists in general, especially if they are Japanese. Koji praised the Democratic Coalition for Egypt which includes 28 political parties.
