CAIRO: Minister of Foreign Trade Samir el-Sayyed said the exceptional conditions we live with these days demand hard work. He said we must make the aspirations and ambition of our youth our top priority in different programs promoting economic, social and technological progress. We must support our sons' hopes for an independent society and a democracy, while still enjoying stability, prosperity and justice. El-Sayyed also said it will take creative tactics to achieve economic recovery and reduce the effects of the economic crisis for our people. He also said the Islamic Development Bank has played an important role in supporting its member states since the economic crisis. El-Sayyed said the bank has gotten the highest credit ratings from all rating agencies despite the financial crisis because of the continuing support the bank receives from its member states. El-Sayyed added that there are a lot of areas we need to focus on after the financial crisis with the help of the Islamic Development Bank. We should give more support to economic and social development in African countries, focusing on infrastructure and agricultural projects.
