CAIRO: Egyptian Prime Minister ratified a decision to appoint Mohammad Ezat Abdel Azim as president of Egypt Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA). Abdel Azim's took the post Mohammad Taha al-Qullali after the former retired. Egyptian Minister of Power and Electricity, Hassan Younis, will notify the agency of the new appointment. Abdel Azim said to Youm7 the agency has a large number of large projects and will plan which ones should be carried out. The authority's priorities include modernizing Inshas reactor and producing radioactive isotopes. Abdel Azim previously held the post of chairman of the EAEA research projects department.
