CAIRO: Egypt's Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has decided to lift the curfew imposed on Egypt starting on June 15. The council, which has been charged with Egypt's administration since February, stated that the curfew is being lifted to encourage a return of normalcy to the country's affairs. The curfew was initially imposed on January 28, what became known as the ‘Friday of Anger' and one of the bloodiest days of Egypt's 18-day uprising. Since then, the curfew has been shortened, and it is currently in effect from 2-5am.
