Egypt's public prosecutor is waiting for reports from three committees investigating the sons of Egypt's deposed president, Alaa and Gamal Mubarak. The men are accused of fraud in investment funds and repayment of debts as well as privatization of public enterprise sector companies and receiving commissions for selling them. The source added in statements to Youm7 that the investigations also include the appointment of Gamal Mubarak as a representative of the Central Bank of Egypt in the Board of Directors of Arab-African Bank and the financial irregularities occurring during the period in which he held the position. The source denied that investigators had continued interrogating the presidents' sons in Tora Prison, where they are being held along with other members of the former regime. The public prosecutor ordered the formation of technical committees to examine the property of Alaa and Gamal in light of the regulatory reporting contained in this regard, which stated that a full statement includes a lot of real estate, including palaces, villas, chalets, and luxury apartments in the cities of New Cairo, Sharm el-Sheikh, Cairo, Hurghada, Ismailia and Alexandria, as well as possession of large tracts of land.
