JERUSALEM: Egypt will allow gas flow to Tel-Aviv, said Israeli chairman of Electricity Company, Amnon Shapira during a Knesset economic committee on the case of Egyptian gas export to Israel. Shapira added the deputy director of Merhav Ampal Company, Nimrod Novick assured that Egypt will soon export gas to Tel-Aviv again. The company has 6.75 percent of Egyptian East Mediterranean Gas company shares, which is owned by Egyptian businessman Hussein Salem. According to anonymous sources in Cairo, there are no official instructions on denying gas export to Israel since Egyptian officials refused to take responsibilities on these instructions. Shapira warned of increase of gas price by 16 percent in Israel if Egypt does not allow gas flow to Israel.
