Egypt's press today focused on the ongoing Coptic Christian demonstration outside Maspiro. Copts had planned to end their strike but extended it when they learned a group of people were surrounding the Virgin Mary Church in Aim Shams, said state-run Al-Ahram. The independent Al-Wafd newspaper reported that Coptic Christian girls tried to remove the veils of Muslim journalists outside Maspiro. In other news, Minister of Finance Samir Radwan announced his ministry will increase around 20 billion EGP of committed funds for Ministries of Education, Health and Transportation, according to al-Akhbar. Radwan added the ministry will also establish an Unemployment Fund with 2 billion EGP.
