CAIRO: The Mubarak family's decision of yielding their fortune to escape trial drew the attention of the Egyptian Press. It is expected of the former President Hosni Mubarak to record his official apology to the Egyptian people about the violations he committed during his 30-year ruling. Journalist Hassanen Heikal said the Mubarak's fortune abroad is worth U.S $ 9-11 billion according to authorized documents. Businessman Hussein Salem, who fled Egypt, has the keys to Mubarak's vaults, Heikal said in an interview with state-run newspaper Al-Ahram.
