Egypt's press today covered deposed president Hosni Mubarak, last weekend's clashes in Imbaba, a nation-wide doctor's strike, and reclaiming stolen money in Switzerland. Toppled president Hosni Mubarak was detained for another 15 days. Prosecutors postponed his investigation after he fainted, but then resumed questioning, according to state-run Al-Ahram. Mubarak has denied all charged against him. Regarding Imbaba, Al-Ahram said security forces arrested six people who participated in Saturday's violence. The accused reportedly shot at Muslim demonstrators outside St. Mina Church. 10 thugs were also arrested. In other news, a million-man demonstration has been called for on Friday under the title, “Friday of national unity and liberation.” The march will be staged to confront Mubarak's regime, thugs, and all corrupted figures who tried to trigger sectarian violence between Muslims and Christians. Al-Gomhorreya reported that the Coptic Christian church is discussing a proposal to prevent Coptic women from converting to Islam. The Coptic Church forbids divorce, and some Christians have converted to Islam to obtain a divorce.
