Egypt's press today continued its coverage of Saturday night's deadly sectarian violence and its consequences, as well as the Coptic Christian demonstration outside Maspiro. Also in the headlines was the Egyptian nuclear energy program. Investigation into the Imbaba incidents reveled that around 12 Muslims and Christians are accused of inciting Saturday's violence. The accused belonged to the dissolved, formerly ruling National Democratic Party (NDP). Adel Labib, a Coptic Christian merchant, incited Coptic youth to shoot and attack a Muslim demonstration, claiming the Muslims were going to break into the church, reported state-run Al-Ahram. Independent Al-Masry Al-Youm reported that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) received information saying NDP figures plan to trigger a civil war in Egypt.
