‘Book of Tears' is a new book issued by ‘Al-Masry' publications. The book aims to document Egypt's January 25 Revolution. In the book's introduction, the young author, Ahmed al-Sabagh, wrote that the Revolution needs a thousand books for it to be properly documented. "Our revolution hasn't ended yet, so this book is a start thriller," al-Sabagh The book depicted events of the revolution very seriously and cynically. Al-Sabagh wrote, "Mubarak's ousting and corruption trials are only the beginning. The real revolution starts now." Al-Sabagh said in the beginning of his book that prominent accidents that occurred during Mubarak's regime were not completely accidental. Such events included train collisions, ferries sinking, the killings of Soliman Khater and Khaled Said, the torturing of Emad Al-Kabeer, and several sectarian incidents. The author mentioned Tunisia's revolution, which inspired Egypt's 18-day uprising. He compared the youth of Tunisia and of Egypt and also compared how Mubarak pledged not to run for 2011 elections but was overthrown on February 11 while Bin-Ali also pledged not to run for 2014 elections but was overthrown on January 14. Al-Sabagh said even with all the serious events, there were also some amusing happenoings in Tahrir Square and he dedicated a chapter to the light heartedness entitled ‘Laugh to make the revolution better.'
