Palestinian factions cross Rafah border to sign reconciliation agreement in Cairo

RAFAH, Egypt: Delegations of Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah crossed the Rafah border crossing on their way to Cairo to sign the reconciliation agreement between the two, a source said.
The source said the crossing is open to facilitate cross movement and the number of passing Palestinians crossing has reached approximately 23,577 people.
The factions include Fatah and Hamas members, independent figures and other participants who will witness the signing of the agreement.
The Palestinians are scheduled to sign the reconciliation agreement in Cairo next Wednesday by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau Khaled Mashal.
